The great circus train wreck happened on September 6, 1893.

Sara Kidder resigns as railroad President on May 6, 1913.

104 years, 11 months and 16 days ago.

ICC Grants permission to end passenger service. Regular passenger service ends the same day. April 4, 1938.

80 years and 18 days ago.

Fire partially destroys the Grass Valley depot and Kidder mansion. Historical company records lost. October 8, 1940.

77 years, 6 months and 14 days ago.

The last revenue train ran on July 10, 1942.

75 years, 9 months and 12 days ago. .

The last rails were removed in Colfax on April 29, 1943.
